- Added a low birth weight (LBW) option to Schwartz CrCl.

Version 5.0.11 32 bit / 1.3.29 Palm / 1.2.9 PocketPC

- Fixed the Reporter where a query using a date would not work.
- New Option:  Password Protect.  This option allows you to password protect the patient database and reporter screens.
- New Option:  Kel Edit.  This option will allow you to create your own equation for calculating Kel without levels.  USE WITH CAUTION!  Changing the Kel calculation may result in doses that are inappropriate or dangerous.  You assume ALL RISK by changing these equations.

Version 5.0.10 32 bit / 1.3.28 Palm / 1.2.8 PocketPC

- Added an administrator option to lock out option changes.  Press Ctrl-H from the main menu to access this function.
- Added the ability to add a logo to the top of every report.  Just place a graphic image named logo.bmp in the default installation directory.
- Added check on program startup to verify path.
- If weight was entered in Pounds and calculation were done a second time, the weight was incorrectly recorded as Kilograms.

Version 5.0.9 32 bit

- Palm OS and Pocket PC versions are now available. See http://www.datakin.com.
- Fixed a problem with Phenytoin dosing where the new dose was not always being calculated.
- Fixed the 2 dose calculations for Phenytoin.
- The program will now allow time for levels greater than 99 (aminoglycosides and vancomycin).
- Fixed a problem where default weight options were not always being stored.
- Added time to the pre-dose CMin calculations. Time before the dose that the pre-dose CMin was drawn can now be entered.
- Added PDF, RTF, XLS, TXT, and HTML export options to report writer.
- Added addition column to report writer output.
- Added new data elements to report writer: current dose and current levels.
- Converted help system from Windows help to HTML help.
- Fixed "Clear Current Patient"  option.
- Fixed weight option where Gentamicin option would always default to System.
- Changed the graph so the divisions for the levels on the Y axis are more logical.
- Changed the graph so the initial strange graph that was displayed prior to the final graph is suppressed.

Version 5.0.8 32 bit

The 4.0 version is no longer supported.
- Schwartz calculations have been fixed. It was not using inches.

Version 5.0.7 32 bit / 4.0.64 16 bit

- Program will no longer allow a desired C-Min of 0.
- 32 Bit ONLY: Menus and bars have been replaced with new controls. Menus now have new options (right click the menu bar for options). The button bars can be moved and docked like "Office 2000" bars. The menus also display frequently accessed options. 
- 32 Bit ONLY: The program will now display "Loading Fonts" when starting. It is necessary to preload the fonts for the new bars for the Writer module.
- Redid the screen sizing routines and consult generation for the Writer module.
- 32 Bit ONLY: Change the location in the registry where the values are stored. This was done to prevent problems under Windows NT or Windows 2000 when different users log in.
- Added Volume of Distribution (Liters) to the summary screen.
- Levels of > 100 for Phenytoin are allowed.

Version 5.0.6 32 bit / 4.0.63 16 bit

- 32 bit - corrected an error that occurred when saving a report to a different drive or directory.
- Added an option screen that allows different methods for calculating Vancomycin Kel when no levels are available.
- Corrected a problem when selecting Menu or Cancel from the screen asking if the patient is currently receiving the drug.
- Corrected an error that occurred when the graph redisplay was selected, but the number of regimens to display was not selected.
- The Writer module will no longer prompt to save the file if it has been saved and no changes have been made.

Version 5.0.5 32 bit / 4.0.62 16 bit

- 32 bit - Added spell checking to the Word Processor.
- Redid all of the screen display routines to make the screen display smoother. Redid all screen resizing routines.
- Redid the ini routines. The 16 bit version will still continue to use an ini file. The 32 bit version no longer uses an ini file. Instead, it stores everything in the registry. The datakin.ini and kinint.ini in the 16 bit version have been merged into datakin.ini. There is a utility (dkregistry) distributed with the 32 bit version that allows you change the registry setting for the path and dump all registry values used by the program.
- Because the 32 bit version stores settings in the registry, setting changes made to either version are NOT used by the other version.
- New option: "Display Small Buttons". This gives the user a choice to see standard Windows buttons or the larger buttons that the program has used in the past.

Version 5.0.4 32 bit / 4.0.61 16 bit
- Corrected errors when attempting to load or find patient with empty database.
- Fixed checkmark display under CrCl options.
- Fixed report with patient ID for 32 bit version.
- Drug Defaults screen renamed to Drug Options.
- Corrected an error 5000 in the Report Writer. This occurred when generated more than 1 report.
- Distributed graph help file.
- Corrected a problem with the Writer where the text was turning blue (32 bit version).
- Corrected the error that occurred in the Writer when the status bar was hidden.
- Corrected an error that occurred when the Age Type or Weight Type fields were skipped.
- Removed a tooltip from the clock on the main display.
- Corrected an error in the Report Writer when Save or Load were selected, then Cancel was selected.
- Age type was not being cleared with the "Clear Current Patient" function.
- Corrected an error that occurred when Time was skipped when saving a patient.
- Corrected an error that occurred on some systems that occurred when searching for a patient that does not exist.

Version 5.0.4 32 bit / 4.0.61 16 bit
- Minor installation program changes.

- Added time to the database. This will appear on the select patient menu as well as on the report writer in the 32 bit version.
- Fixed a problem with the clear patient option. The ideal body weight was not being cleared.

Version 4.0.58 16 bit / 5.0.1 32 bit
- Fixed a problem when loading a patient. The new dosing interval was being recalculated rather than displaying the stored value

Version 4.0.57
- The service name change option has been fixed.
- There were several problems with the install under Windows 3.1. These have been corrected.
- Sheridan data controls have been replaced with Apex data controls.

Version 4.0.56
- Fixed minor bug that caused the program to pause when starting.
- Changed international units for Serum Creatinine to mcmol.
- Corrected an install problem where the update would fail under certain Windows 3.1x conditions.

Version 4.0.55
- Fixed minor bug that caused error message with Vancomycin when dosing with one level.

Version 4.0.54
- Added the ability to hide most of the options on the options menu. Pressing Ctrl-H from the main opening screen will toggle the options on or off.
- Added the ability to restrict users from changing calculated values. For example, the user can normally change the calculated Kel and recalculate a dose based on this new Kel. This ability can be toggled off. To do this, go to Options, Drug Defaults. You can hide this option from the users by using the Ctrl-H feature.
- Added the ability to do 24 hour dosing with 1 level. Keep in mind that with only 1 level, the program can not calculate Kel or T1/2. The program uses proportions to calculate a new dose.
- Integration with the HBOC Star system is complete.
- Fixed problem that would cause a crash in Theophylline when the Recalc button was clicked and the new dose was 0.
- Report Writer for 32 bit version is complete.

Version 4.0.53
- Increased number of decimals for Kel to 4.
- Changed tab order on new dose screens. It now follows the same order the pressing "enter".
- Changed CrCl logic to use actual body weight if patient weighs less than ideal body weight.
- Increased the first name field to 40 characters.
- Added the ability to use an interval other than C-Max for Vancomycin. This is under Options, Drug Defaults.
- Added the ability to define a predefined comment that appears on all consults. This is under Options, Writer Options.
- Levels that are the same can not be entered. Previously, if 2 levels were the same, an error would be generated.
- Completely redid all the screens and how they are displayed.
- Changed the buttons "Print/Save" and "Print" to "Report/Save" and "Report". There was some confusion because these buttons actually take you to the Writer and you have to print from there.
- Upgraded a number of controls that the program uses.

Version 4.0.52:
- Completely new DKWriter (Word Processing) module. Replaced all 16 bit VBX's with 16 bit Active X controls. This is in preparation for the 32 bit version.

- Added tool bars to the main screen and the DKWriter. You can hide the main toolbar or button bar under the Options menu. The DKWriter bars can be hidden using the View menu item.

-The 32 bit version is in beta testing.
- You can now enter the overweight percentage as a percentage number (20) or as a fraction (0.2).
- There is a new option under CrCl Default. You can have the system automatically use 1.0 for the SCr if the user enters less than 1 as the SCr.
- Redid the mechanism for screen display and centering of items on the screen.

Version 4.0.51:

- Added the option to change, add, or delete the list of conditions affecting Theophylline clearance.
- Added the option to change, add, or delete the list of drugs affecting Digoxin clearance.
- Fixed a bug in the Schwartz CrCl method.
- Occasionally, when you double clicked a drug from the bar instead of single clicking the program would crash. This has been corrected.
- Changed the graph so you can specify the number of dosage regimens to display.
- Occasionally, the program would crash when you get to the Aminoglycoside new dose screen if the database became corrupted during installation. This has been corrected.
- International Units for Creatinine have been added.

Version 4.0.50:
- Complete redesign of the screen for getting consults. It now uses 2 grids to display the consults.
- Added a default font menu option on the Writer. This will allow you to set a default font for the consult.
- Corrected the font used to display the font and font size on the Writer button bar.
- Updated the RTF control so importing to and from Word 97 via the clipboard works correctly.
- Added to ability to increase or decrease the size of the graph when placing it on the consult in the Writer module.  Before the graph is generated, you will be prompted for a graph size factor.
- Added a Historical VD list box when doing aminoglycosides and vancomycin. This box will only appear when the patient ID is entered and the new dose screen is opened.

Version 4.0.49:
- Added a Weight Option Screen (under Options). This will allow you to specify how the program will use weights. You can override the system and have it always use Actual, Ideal, or Adjusted body weight. It applies to creatinine as well.
- Added a Drug Default Option Screen (under Options). This will allow you to specify default Volume of Distribution and Length of Infusion.
- On slower systems, when a screen was opened, the fields appeared to move in a "jerking" fashion into place. This problem has been resolved.
- Fixed display problem under Windows NT with certain video configurations. The background would turn black after exiting the Writer module.
- Changed the display system so a field is highlighted when it field has focus.

Version 4.0.48:
- Added the ability to enter digoxin dosing intervals in fractions.
- Added Dose field to the get saved consult screen.
- Cleaned up the "other drugs affecting clearance" flow in the Digoxin and Theophylline sections.

Version 4.0.47:
- Theophylline current doses and levels now will print on the consult.
- Added the ability to use fractional hours in the "Time after Dose Ends" field.
- Cleaned up the Schwartz CrCl method.
- Enhanced the error handler.

Version 4.0.46:
- Added International Units.
- Bugs fixed:
If you opened or saved a consult from the Writer to another drive and/or directory, the program would crash when you exited the Writer.
Digoxin current doses and levels did not print on the consult.
- Added "Months" to the age type.
- Corrected the way the program handled ages in days and heights in cm.

Version 4.0.45:
- The demonstration version is now fully functional for 30 days. After 30 days, it will revert to a limited demo where you can not change patient parameters.
- Changed how the program handled Centimeter heights.

Version 4.0.44:
- New Feature! You can now check the level at a given time with the aminoglycosides and vancomycin. For example, if you want a 2 hour post dose level, you can calculate it.
- Corrected the oc25.dll registration error (resulting in a GPF) that occurred on certain systems.
- Corrected the display under Windows NT 4.0 for the Patient Data screen. The Sex, Age Type, Weight Type, and Height Type boxes did not display all choices.
- Update program now uses an install.

Version 4.0.43:
- Fixed the "can not resize" error.
- Changed the graph so it takes into account the loading dose.
- Fixed the "Other" option. When you selected that the patient is on the drug, nothing happened.
- You can now press "Y" or "N" to answer the box where the program asks if the patient is receiving the drug.

Version 4.0.42:
- The program will no longer prompt for excess body weight in overweight patients if the "dose by actual body weight" option is selected.
- Added dosing units to the dose screens.
- Documented the "year 2000" support.

Version 4.0.41:
- Levels and times could not be entered with decimals on certain systems. This was because of some settings within the WIN.INI file. This version ignores those WIN.INI settings.

Version 4.0.40:
- Fixed the Digoxin printout. The frequency was not displayed correctly.

Version 4.0.39:
- Minor changes to installation routines.

Version 4.0.38:
- Started adding reports.

Version 4.0.37:
- Added checking to the Patient options (Load patient, Delete patient, etc...) that prevented errors when there are no patients stored yet.
- The program will now check the Database when you enter a Patient ID on the Patient Data screen. If the ID is found, then name fields are automatically populated.

Version 4.0.36:
- This was the first commercial release.
